how to make first Google Ads
Start by opening an entirely new account at ads.google.com. Once you have created your account, Google will guide you through creating a Smart campaign. This is great for advertisers who don’t want to do the hard work but it is well worth the effort to create your own campaigns.
Google will not ask you to choose your “Main goal in advertising”, instead, click “Switch expert mode”
Which meal will you make?
Your Google Ads account is like a kitchen. Is it only for scrambled eggs? It’s possible, but not likely. If you need a boost in protein, you might choose to make soup, or a steak dinner, or enchiladas if you are looking for a spicy kick. Just as there are many types of meals, so are there different types of campaigns for different purposes.
Get the kitchen ready
Now that you have a clear idea of what you want to cook, it is time to prepare your kitchen. This is the place where you will set your campaign’s general settings, as in Google Ads.
Name of the campaign
You can do whatever you like, as long as it doesn’t affect your performance. You’re fine as long as the campaign is simple to remember and organize in your account.
Network: You have the option to have your ads appear on Google’s partner network. These are Google-owned subsidiaries that can show your ad. These can increase your reach at a lower price, but it will make it more difficult to get a high impression share.
Set your ad schedule
Pick your dinner date
You need to inform Google when you want to show ads. You could, for example, avoid showing your ads in the early hours of the morning if people are not interested in conversion.
Click on “show More Settings” to set your schedule. You can choose your start, end and ad dates.
Please specify your location and language
Make your guest list
You don’t invite everyone to a dinner party. Select few people to invite. You can tailor the experience to each person’s tastes and interests. You don’t want your Google Ads campaign visible to the entire world. This is where you can set your language and location.
